Title: Message Does Not Exist
Post by: wundrbee on May 13, 2005, 04:08:48 PM
Wilson,

So far I am not have the problems of blank messages, and the subject line and sender info are fine. Everything downloads fine, BUT.......

I am getting "Message does exist" errors - they start at the numbers 701

In the Group BakeryShoppe the log file looks like this....

5/5/2005 9:43:13 PM >  Receive message : 53700
5/5/2005 9:43:13 PM >  Received message from : XXXXXX
5/5/2005 9:43:13 PM >  Receive message : 53701
5/5/2005 9:43:15 PM >  Error : Invalid page format.
5/5/2005 9:43:15 PM >  Re-request same message
5/5/2005 9:43:15 PM >  Receive message : 53701
5/5/2005 9:43:15 PM >  Error : Message 53701 not exist.
5/5/2005 9:43:15 PM >  Receive message : 53702
5/5/2005 9:43:15 PM >  Error : Message 53702 not exist.
5/5/2005 9:43:15 PM >  Re-request same message
5/5/2005 9:43:15 PM >  Receive message : 53702
5/5/2005 9:43:15 PM >  Error : Message 53702 not exist.

In the group Aromaherbal the log looks like this...

5/13/2005 8:09:35 AM >  Receive message : 2700
5/13/2005 8:09:35 AM >  Received message from : XXXXX
5/13/2005 8:09:35 AM >  Receive message : 2701
5/13/2005 8:09:40 AM >  Error : Invalid page format.
5/13/2005 8:09:40 AM >  Re-request same message
5/13/2005 8:09:40 AM >  Receive message : 2701
5/13/2005 8:09:40 AM >  Error : Message 2701 not exist.
5/13/2005 8:09:40 AM >  Receive message : 2702
5/13/2005 8:09:40 AM >  Error : Message 2702 not exist.
5/13/2005 8:09:40 AM >  Re-request same message
5/13/2005 8:09:40 AM >  Receive message : 2702

The messages are there on the yahoogroups page - but for some reason  they don't download... I'm still testing to see if it stops again at a "700" number.

PS - I x'd out the name of the sender for privacy purposes.

Hi Tammi,

Is it repeatable? I.e. do you get the same messages reported as missing if you try to re-download?

Thanks,

Wilson.

Err... I spoke too soon :( After the intial problem I had it set up so that it would skip during refresh. I unchecked the option and still I have the same problem. I even went so far as to create a new database and do a fresh download of the messages still the same problem... Still the same groups and numbers - So I guess that makes it a repeatable error.

Whoops, I'm having trouble with your email address:

"  Recipient: <wundrbee@w................>
Reason:    "The recipient cannot be verified.  Please check all recipients of this  message to verify they are valid."

I'll PM you instead.

Cheers,

Wilson.
