Title: Search all databases?
Post by: wundrbee on February 25, 2005, 09:18:24 PM
Is that possible to implement? I would be nice to be able to search all databases at once - granted it would take a long time if someone had a lot of large databases - but it might still be quicker than manually searching and exporting the results.

What about the possibilty of PGO opening to it's own screen instead of the last opened database? Here you would have a list of all your PGO databases - i.e. all the mdb databases in a user-defined folder or folders. From this screen you would have the option of refreshing all databases, opening a database and searching all databases, importing and exporting and so on. That may not even be possible, or more trouble than it's worth if it is possible.

Hmmm... search all databases... I guess we could do it but I think its better to  try and sort your groups into databases based on similarity. That way groups you want to search simultaneously are already in the same database.

I find I can get at least 8 really big groups into any one database.

We could have this as an optional alternative to the setup as it is now but it would have to be selected. I think most people would want the default as it is now.

Cheers,

Wilson.
