Title: Remember last position in groups
Post by: langstone on January 19, 2005, 11:22:01 AM
Wilson,

would it be possible for PGoffline to remeber the last unread message each of the groups joined.

At present when you leave PGoffline then return you are always taken to the first message in each group then have to scroll down to the first unread message.  I think it would be much better if the program remebered the last message you had read and then opened each group at that point so you can continue where you left off.

Would probably be best as an option in prefs.

Unless I've missed this somewhere. :)

Regards

Mark

One of the newer features is "Save Sort Order in Messages Paine" -- on the miscellaneous tab of "options".  I now have several of my groups sorted with last message first so it shows up there when the messages are downloaded.

Basically, very few people read messages in a top down fashion. I myself usually sort by threads. If you look at my message list sorted numerically it looks like its been read by moths. 'Last message' has no meaning unless you're also always sticking with the same sort order.

It could be possible to add it as an option.  If its not tricky we'll do it.

Cheers,

Wilson.
