Title: "Invalid format" errors

I belong to many groups, as I'm the state coordinator for a non-profit organization.

When downloading messages, most groups download just fine. A few groups, though, always fail with "invalid format" messages.

I can't see any difference in these groups and those that work. Could anyone give me a clue?

I'm using 2.5.21 on WinXP.

Can I ask, which groups? I have seen error messages on groups with very large HTML messages. I suspect that maybe they're exceeding the size of the message text field in the database.

I don't think we're talking about large messages, honestly.

Oh. Now don't I feel stupid? There are no messages for the group. At all.

Other groups that had no new messages didn't give me that error, so I didn't connect the two issues.

Don't feel too bad. PGO could have hanbdles that better by telling you that there are no messages in the group.

Admittedly its a tad rare but I we could tell you in plainer language.
