Title: forward all to email
Post by: dioxide on August 28, 2004, 09:25:25 AM
For all my Yahoo groups, yahoo sends me a daily digest.  I'd like all the old stuff too, is there a way to get pgo to send everything from a group to my Gmail account?

Am I going to have to write a script to do this?

You can forward mails one at time at the moment. There's no 'Forward All' facility.

Being frank... yes.

I will add it to the 'nice to have' pile but its a big pile !

Cheers,

Wilson.

If I write such a script, is it kosher to share it on the forums?

I've had another idea, reading about the ones printing to PDF.
I haven't tried this yet, but I bet that using Omnipage, I can go into Digest mode, and print out the entire digest to Omnipages OCR module.  From there, I would have the plain text, formatted as the digest, stripped of all color and html.

lets..  find out!

ok.  nevermind that, it was a pretty bad idea.  printing to pdf is not only easier, but it's a simple matter to convert a pdf to txt, rtf, doc, whatever else you please.

For those wanting to do this, and not buy Adobe's professional package, ScanSoft makes a software called PDF Create.  It installs a printer driver, so you can print to pdf.  It costs 50 dollars.
