Title: Search Idea

Since Microsoft Access has 2 GB limit, it would be nice if PGO could search arcross multiple databases.

Yes, it would be nice wouldn't it. I'll check with Alex to see if its possible to have 2 databases open simultaneously.

Cheers,

Wilson.

If not what, about a text or hyperlinked log of each database (kept in a seperate folder for less confusion) and a search function to search the logs? I suggested a hyperlinked type results page so that when you click on a result the corresponding database would open. I'm not a programmer, so I don't even know if this is feasable <sp?> What would be great is if the results could be imported to some type of temporary database with the option of saving it as a permanent database. Again, just thinking off the top of my head - Might not even be doable.

Would that not be almost the same size as the original database?

I have to say... I'm not really finding it to be a limit anymore. I'm in groups for metalworking, alternative fuels, astronomy, etc and I make a new database for each group of groups. So, I put all astronomy groups in one database called (strangely) astronomy.  I cant say that I'm ever going to want to cross search astronomy & alternative fuels and if I did I'd just put them in the same database.

What do others think?

Cheers,

Wilson.
