I refreshed about 30 groups today with no problems.

There is some sort of problem with 'Invalid page' errors in that all groups have collective download limits which can be exceeded by the group members as a whole. Typically these are groups with high traffic &/or embedded images.

If you go to the group you may see a message:

"The message you requested is temporarily unavailable because you have exceeded your download limit. Please try again later."

Thats been my experience, however I've had people (Hi Tammi!) telling me that they get 'Invalid page' errors even though they can still surf the group normally. When we get through debugging the new 'Import Attachment' feature I suspect we'll make a diagnostic version of PGO to run this problem to earth.

Cheers,

Wilson.

It seems to be working again now without any patch.

When I received the 'Invalid Page Format' yesterday I could still browse the yahoo groups without a problem, so not sure whether this was related to a download limit (as this would have affected browsing as well).

Anyway - hope this one has been put to bed !

Noel,

This problem is intermittant which is why we've been unable (as yet) to track it down. Please let me know if it happens again. I think what we'll do is create a diagnostic version in any case & let people who experience this problem have a copy so that when it does happen they can report the results.

Cheers,

Wilson.

Since Friday night, I can't even get to Yahoo's login page manually: it times out. In PGOFfline, I get the following error
message:   Error : The server returned an invalid or unrecognized response. Is Yahoo mad at my ip address, or are others
having this problem?

ADditional info on my own message: I was able to get to Yahoo signin and download most of my messages (until getting
locked out) via my dialup. So, there now seem to be two possibilities: (1) my cable ISP (comcast) or something in its path from me to Yahoo
isn't getting along with Yahoo groups, or (2) my individual IP is locked out. I tried (through the cable modem)
on another PC in our house and had the same problem, but they 're all on the same router and so (I assume)
all look the same to Yahoo. Any ideas out there? Any other Comcast users with problems?

I'm not having any problems downloading from Yahoo groups. Other than a database error, and an invalid page error, which resolves itself after a few hours. I've e-mailed Wilson privately about those errors. However, I'm not having any problems logging in or downloading, so maybe the problem is not on Yahoo's end of things. Then again, this is Yahoo, so who knows..?

Thanks for the reply Wilson.

I've not had the Invalid Page Format error since I first reported it a couple of days ago, so it seems the problem was temporary.
