Title: Mail Client
Post by: Brad on May 27, 2004, 04:40:27 AM
Tonight, I found Wilson had slipped a new feature into the program and I hadn't noticed.

There's a email client, plus an option to use an external email client.

When I try to do a reply to a message using the external email client

"C:\Program Files\mozilla.org\Mozilla\mozilla.exe"

I get a spash screen "Mozella" for about a half second and then the program (Mozella) closes.

If I use the internal email client (built in), it seems to work, but doesn't paste any of the original message in as most email clients do when doing a reply.  Any thought on either problem?

I'd like to add that the new faster download feature is GREAT ;D

Hi Brad,

The email client been there for a long time. The ability to choose an external mail client is relatively new.

Mozilla is a browser to my knowledge, not a mail client. It may have mail sending capability but it might be calling something else to do that.

I could be wrong.

Cheers,

Wilson.

Mozella 1.6 is both an email client and browser.  I've moved from Forte Agent to Mozella due to it's spam filtering features.  They have standalone browers and email programs (don't remember the names at the moment), but the 1.6 has both functions (plus newsgroups and other functions) built in.  It's like the old Swiss Army knife.

I suspect you need to call the email part of it specifically. I'll ask around & see what's waht with Mozella.

Cheers,

Wilson.
