Title: Attachments
Post by: timhfl on November 30, 2019, 09:10:20 PM
I am not seeing any message attachments.  Is this normal?  Is it just me?

None at all?

Yahoo can choose not to serve attachments even when they exist.

PGO makes a note of attachments whether it receives the file or not.

If you do File-- > Export to folder and export your group with attachments, it will tell you what attachments it could not find.

This did not work for me at all.

I had a look around the file system.
../AppData/Local/PG Offline 4/Attachments/<groupname>

The group I am interested in permits attachments and does not send them in email.

The messages have been downloading for about a day.  There are more than 10,000 messages.  Hundreds of them have attachments.

When I select to view a message, I don't see any of the embedded or attached images. They all have a placeholder and an X.

The Attachments column in PG Offline seems to be always empty.  Does it have a use?  Or perhaps it did at one time but no longer?

I'm not sure but I think Yahoo went through a period of not saving attachments that weren't embedded.

Sorry.
