Please email me a screenshot (actually a sequence of screen shots of actions leading up to the crash & the crash itself would be excellent).

Please also mention what OS, version of PGO, Access & IE you are running.

Thanks very much.

Wilson.

Phazei,

Think it would be also be interesting to know how much memory you have in your computer.

I ran some test on my notebook running win2K.
Task manager reports that I have 261500kb of memory.  When I first boot my computer, of that 261Meg, I have about 110Meg available.  As I start doing searches, I see the available memory get as low as 3meg.  But, it never crashes.  I think the memory management of Win2k is doing it's job and shedding some unnessary processes in order to keep the computer from crashing.  When I close PGO, I end up with about 200Meg available.

So, I think it's a factor of how much memory you start with and how efficient your OS might be managing the available memory.  Also, Wilson might take a look at the program to see if it can release unused memory after searches.

Haven't had time for a screen shot, but I'm running WinXP 512mb ram, IE6 sp1 (though I use Mozilla Firefox 0.8), And I usually have about 300mb of 1250mb for max ram+virtual disk)
pg 2.0.175

OK, I'll see if I can duplicate this problem.

Cheers,
