It would be nice if when doing a search, the terms searched for in the msgs listed were highlighted. so if its a long post you can find where it is in it you're looking for. similar to the google cache results. if you do a search in google for some words, and choose to see the cached google page, you'll see what i mean.

Adam,
Sounds good. I don't actually know how hard that is but we'll look into it. It might have a bit of a performance overhead depending on how many results come back.

Wilson.
Hi Wilson,
I do a lot of searching (to me, that's the main benefit of pgo) and I REALLY would like to have something along these lines. Some messages can be really long, and to find the instance of the search word can take some time.
I just did a search that returned over 40 messages. I then had to do a "manual" search within each message for instances of the search term. For those messages that were more than a few sentences, I found it easier just to copy the text into Notepad and use it's search function.
I understand the overhead issue. He's an idea that might work: store pointers to each instance of the search word(s) in memory, cross-referenced by message number. Then add a "highlight search results" button to the message window. That way, the video overhead is only invoked as needed.

Actually, we're at a bit of a loose end so I'll propose this to Alex & see what he says.
Cheers,
Wilson.
