Title: Trial version expired
Post by: martin_lists on December 21, 2014, 10:06:12 PM
I've uninstalled and reinstalled, and the newly installed version still comes up with the Trial Version Expired pop-up.  If I click OK, the PGO4 window itself closes.  What to do?

Hi,

Dan is going to build a new version tomorrow.

I will post its location as soon as it is available.

Cheers,

Wilson.

Here you go:

https://www.file2.me/pgoffline4/pg-offline-4.0.820-x86.exe

I had to uninstall 819 before I could install this. Didn't have to restart my machine though that wouldn't hurt.

Cheers,

Wilson.

I'm getting "login failed" for all my groups after installing the newest version.
I have tried logging on with IE 11 and the workaround to skip authorization - still no go.
Have closed and reopened the program several times.  Have not tried rebooting.
It picked up my old database just fine.
Barbara

Updated: after reboot, I'm getting "Object reference..." on all groups except one, which did download new messages as of today.

I am investigating this with Dan, the developer.

Cheers,

Wilson & Dan,
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and all that.  No rush :)

Thanks, Wilson - I've installed the new version and have the same experience as "Rainbows" above.  Either "login failed" or "not set to an instance of an object", depending on whether I select "Skip Authorisation".  Latest message successfully retrieved for the database was on 9 December.

Wilson,

Do you have any update for us on when PGO will work again?

I know this latest issue is not your fault but a change on Yahoo end but my last update/refresh occurred on 12/14/14.

Thanks.

Hi,

Dan is busy on his own stuff and as he was helping me out for free I can only thank him for the sterling work he has done.

I have decided to take the bull by the horns and learn VC# dot Net myself.

That way problems will be fixed in days rather than weeks.

You have to bear with me. I'm having to learn Visual Studio as its the tool for VC# and its a steep learning curve.

Cheers,

Wilson.
