Dragging Columns

I dragged my Status column all the way to the left on the screen and it has disappeared and will not come back.  I have had this happen before but at some point the column would always come home.  Why is my column running away?

Hi Bill,

 Its possible to drag a column closed by accident. If you put your cursor up to the column where it should be you should get a set of double lines which indicates that you can open the column.

I will post a video which demonstrates this.
