I was going through my groups, both updating my DB's and writing down  groups I no longer wanted to be in, and started getting this message (see attached pic for verification) 'Error during save message to database. Error information:Automation Error The object has disconnected from its clients.'  This occurred on more than one of the groups being downloaded and I had to Ctrl-Alt-Del and use Task Manager to get out of PGO and restart. If you need it I'll be happy to allow you access to my Yahoo acct (at least temporarily :)  ) to track down the problem. At the time of the error, the DB was 62 megs. Hope this is enough!

Addendum: I am running Win 7 32-bit up to date as of 7/13/11.

I did some digging through the forum and though my google-fu is lacking, I was able to find a solution to my automation error problem. I replaced the comctl32.dll with another version recommended by numerous sites for problems. I've included it here:  http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=25437D98-51D0-41C1-BB14-64662F5F62FE&displaylang=en    I'm not sure it's a PGO problem but it seems more of a definite Microsoft issue.

Joe,

This is the fix I would recommend. Normally its mscomctl.ocx

You should update this with the file by installing all the Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 Common Controls

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=25437D98-51D0-41C1-BB14-64662F5F62FE&displaylang=en

Its a small download (914kb).

Cheers,

Wilson.
