Although I think I did write a PG4 to MBOX python program.

So if you send me your PG4 file I can convert it for you.

Or I can send you the Python code.

Hi,

So there is an MBOX import in 907 but it needs special handling.

It takes the X-Apparently-To:  field as the group name.

E.g.

X-Apparently-To: cetarch@yahoogroups.com

so the bit between X-Apparently-To: & "@"   is the groupname.

which is all fine and well until its X-Apparently-To: bob@gmail.com

which we didn't expect.

So you need to clean your MBOX file before import to insure all occurrences are in this form

X-Apparently-To: <groupname>@yahoogroups.com

There are no plans for MBOX export.

Try this latest version:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/i6uk25z1sfm7j3g/PGOGroups%20v.1.0.7.3.zip?dl=0

BTW here is a top tip:

If you copy the "recentData" file from an older version into a newer version, it copies all the uploaded data, etc from the old version.
It copies all the message states and login data as well.

E.g.  if I wanted to go from 1.0.7.1 to 1.0.7.3  I would copy

C:\Users\evildrome\Downloads\PGOGroups v.1.0.7.1\Data\recentData

to

C:\Users\evildrome\Downloads\PGOGroups v.1.0.7.3\Data

Cheers,

Wilson.

The bigger your db gets the slower it will be.....

Anyway, you can add manually OR...  you can 'poke' the db manually.

You want the discussion_group table.

You can just add entries manually. Very fast.

When you see the table it will be immediately apparent what to do.

Use SQLiteStudio.  Its a free SQLite database editor.

I need Help ! / Re: PG Offline for Groups.io

It may come to that....

I'm thinking of making it $10 a year subscription...

The perpetual licence only works for paint programs... not for apps that depend on the whim of a 3rd party.

Anyway, I might do a "supporting" membership... $24.95 for 3 years.

Maybe for the first 30 subscribers...

Hi,
What would you recommend one do if, now that the list function no longer works, I wanted to "merge" all of my message archives into one .db3 for export purposes? Manually add each one (300+) to the blank database using Add Group so that I can import from my assorted databases, or is there a different way of doing this for larger projects?

Thanks,

-Max

That is great news, Wilson.

Don't think you realize how much your continued development of PG has meant to me, I am well aware you could of called it quits one of the many time Yahoo broke things.

I will keep an eyeout here, but please feel free to add my email address to your customer database. Can't remember what address we used many years ago to purchase.

In addition, if you need any preorder funds, just let me know.
