Unread message counter, or new message counter for each group. .
The problem is that if I do a refresh, I can't easily tell what groups have new messages.

I have two examples, on Forte Agent a number appears on the left side of the group name. Example:
10 Nikon Users
In MS Outlook, the number appears on the right side like this:
Nikon Users (10)
Either would be great, just something to indicate that new messages have been downloaded, and not read.
If you wanted to get really fancy, you could give the number of unread messages and the number of newly downloaded messages. That would be overkill but would be cool. (And probably way too much trouble to implement. Something like:
Nikon Users (126) (10)
which might indicate 126 unread messages with 10 new messages as of the last download.
